( Back )
Answer #1:
If by stunt you mean, screw up, then yes it will.Yoga, no. Yoga can hardly be classified as bodybuilding. It is more about flexibility and staying in shape, under normal circumstances yoga would be fine.
Answer #2:
No unless you take steroidsAnswer #3:
as long as you take some weights proportional to your size and don't overexercise and still get enough nutrients, you should be ok. i think body-building isn't really necessary at that age unless you're considerably overweight.Answer #4:
only lifting weights can stunt your growth at a young age and its usually for guys that this happensi knew a guy who was like 5' at age 16 and had HUGE muscles ugh
but if your just doing yoga you'll be absolutely fine
Answer #5:
You only have to worry about stunting your growth if you are using very heavy weights that compress your joints and or spine. Exercises like heavy squats, calf raises, lunges, leg press, overhead press, etc will do this. When you're young your bones are not fused together and have growth plates in them to allow for your bones to lengthen. Light weights, bodyweight exercising, stretching, yoga, etc are all perfectly acceptable forms of exercise when you're young and still growing.
I put a link to some bodyweight exercises that you could do or a kid could do in the sources. With these exercises you don't have to worry about stunting someones growth.
Answer #6:
noit's a stupid myth
proof is in the article below
even the American Pediatrics Association says it okay
Answer #7:
The only way a strength training or toning routine can stunt your growth is if a- you take steroids, or b- you improperly perform a heavy weight an break a bone. But done right, it actually promotes growth.** Powered by Yahoo Answers
